We aim to make Auditforge feel like a calm utility in a stressful audit cycle. If something does not work, here is how to get help fast.

When you email, please include:

• Your Atlassian site URL (e.g. acmebank.atlassian.net)
• The Auditforge subscription tier you are on
• The control you were working with
• The exact error message or screenshot

Common issues

"Anthropic API key is not configured"

Open Apps menu, then Manage your apps, then Auditforge Settings. Paste a valid API key from console.anthropic.com.

"Claude API call failed (401): authentication_error"

Your Anthropic API key is invalid, expired, or has no credit. Check the Anthropic console.

"Claude API call failed (429): rate_limit_error"

You hit Anthropic's rate limit. Either reduce the number of evidence items, switch to a smaller model (Claude Haiku) in Settings, or upgrade your Anthropic plan.

"Jira search failed (400)"

Your JQL query is invalid. Test the query directly in Jira's Advanced Search to debug it.

"Search returned 50 results but I have 200 matching tickets"

Auditforge limits each search to 50 results to keep narrative quality high. Narrow your JQL using date or label filters.

"The narrative does not cite all my evidence"

The model only cites evidence it considered relevant. If you believe an evidence item should have been cited, edit the narrative manually before approving. The audit log captures both the AI draft and your edit.

"I want to add a new framework that is not yet supported"

Email support@auditforge.sathvickollu.com with the framework name (e.g. SOC 2, NIS2, DORA, RBI Cyber Resilience Framework). New frameworks are added based on customer demand. Enterprise customers can request custom control catalogs.

Getting started

1. Install from Atlassian Marketplace
2. Open Auditforge Settings, paste Anthropic API key
3. Open any Jira project, then Apps, then Auditforge
4. Pick a control, search Jira, select evidence, click Generate

Best practices

• Start with one control at a time. Generating narratives for all controls in one session is overwhelming. Pick the controls your auditor flagged in the previous cycle.
• Use precise JQL. "All tickets updated in last 90 days" is too broad. Better: project = SEC AND labels = "iso27001-evidence" AND updated >= startOfMonth(-3).
• Tag evidence in Jira. Add a label like iso27001-A.8.32 to change tickets so future searches are quick.
• Review citations. The model cites specific tickets in brackets like [SEC-123]. Click through to confirm the citation is faithful before approving.
• Track the audit log. Every approval is timestamped and immutable. Auditors love seeing this trail.

Billing

Software subscription billing is handled by Atlassian Marketplace. To change your plan, cancel, or request a refund:

1. Open your Atlassian site as an admin
2. Go to Settings, then Billing, then Manage subscriptions
3. Find Auditforge and adjust

AI usage is billed by Anthropic directly to the API key configured in your workspace. Manage AI billing at console.anthropic.com.
